London: British Prime Minister Boris Johnson on Friday won a parliamentary majority in the UK’s general elections. The Boris-led Conservative won 326 of the 650 seats in the Lower House of Commons according to BBC.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to Twitter and congratulated Johnson on his thumping majority.
“Many congratulations to PM @BorisJohnson for his return with a thumping majority. I wish him the best and look forward to working together for closer India-UK ties,” Modi tweeted.

The rival Labour Party has suffered the worst defeat in the last many years. The Labour Party is far behind at 194 seats.
