Tehran: The threat of a final showdown has been going on for sometime between the United States and Iran. However, things edged closer to doomsday after US conducted air strikes that eliminated Iranian top commander, Qasem Soleimani.
Today, is a symbolic gesture Iran has proclaimed that a bloodbath is far approaching. The state television of the Islamic country has aired a red flag being unfurled atop a Mosque in the Shiite holy city of Qom. This is for the first time in history that a red flag is hoisted at Jamkaran Mosque, which is one of the most significant mosques in Qom.
The red flag symbolizes the severe battle to come and the blood split unjustly. It also serves as a call to avenge the person who is killed.
This shows that Iran is serious about avenging the killing of its commander and should be taken as a grim sign that an unprecedented war is about to begin.
The United States is also preparing for an ultimate showdown and has already warned that it will strike 52 sites in Iran if the Islamic country tries to harm the US.
Yesterday night rockets were launched at the US Embassy in Iraq but no causalities were reported. The streets of Iran are filled with protesters shouting slogans against US and calling for revenge.
