Washington: U N Secratary General Antonio Guterres has said in a statement that the “world cannot afford another war. The statement released by his spokesperson Stephane Dujarric last day repeated “passionate appeal for peace”.
“Peace is our most precious value. It is the product of hard work and we must never take it for granted.”, said U N Chief. “I am encouraged by signs that the escalating conflict in the Gulf may be subsiding. The world cannot afford another war”, he added.
Antonio Guterres promised that he will do all possible moves to avoid war. He reminded the consequences of Gulf war. As in all wars, here too, its the common people who have to suffer the most, Guterres told.
