Beijing: China is struggling to curb the deadly coronavirus as the infection spreads out of control. The virus believed to be emerged from Wuhan food market. The death toll is rising and the outbreak has already killed 80 people. More than 2700 cases of infection reported so far.
Meanwhile Chinese health department has informed that coronavirus can spread even before the symptoms appear. China has taken stringent steps to prevent the spreading of virus. The government has produced travel restrictions and has extended the Lunar New Year holiday for three days. The holiday season will end only on February 2.
Five persons in Australia and five in the U S have been confirmed to have the virus. More than 50 people in 13 places world wide have been affected. 100 people in 26 states are under observation.
In Kerala too 288 people are under observation. Seven among these are hospitalized and the rest is being taken special care at their homes. The Health Department has informed that 109 people have reached the state last day from China. Arrangements have been made at Nedumbassery airport to scan passengers. Special health desk is functioning near the immigration counter and gloves and masks were distributed to all employees of the airport.
