Washington DC: US President Donald Trump on Tuesday unveiled the Middle East plan alongside Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White house.
Trump after unveiling the plan said that Jerusalem will remain Israel’s ‘undivided’ capital and that the plan gives a way towards a two-state solution and presents a “contiguous” territory for a Palestinian state.
Trump said his proposals “could be the last opportunity” for Palestinians.
However, the Palestinian leaders have rejected the plan and did not attend the preview of the proposal.
Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas dismissed the plans as a “conspiracy”.
“I say to Trump and Netanyahu: Jerusalem is not for sale, all our rights are not for sale and are not for bargain. And your deal, the conspiracy, will not pass,” he said in a televised address from Ramallah in the West Bank, cited BBC.
“No Palestinian or Israelis will be uprooted from their homes,” cited Times of Israel as Trump saying.
