London: The Islamic State (ISIS) has taken responsibility for the stabbing attack in London, which saw two persons injured and the perpetrator being shot dead by the Metropolitan police.
The ISIS’ mouthpiece, Amaq said, “The perpetrator of the attack in Streatham district in south London yesterday is a fighter of Islamic State, and carried out the attack in response to calls to attack the citizens of coalition countries”.
The attacker, Sudesh Amman, was shot dead by the police after he stabbed two people on Streatham High in London. The 20-year-old terrorist had a history of praising the ISIS and was arrested and released from prison for Islamic related offences.
Sudesh Amman was being followed by surveillance officers who shot him dead at the attack site. A witness said that the attacker was carrying a machete and a canister can when he was killed by the police.
