Washington: Ahead of his first state visit, US President Donald Trump said that he is looking forward to visit India. Trump will be travelling to Ahmedabad and New Delhi on February 24 and 25.
“I look forward to going to India,” Trump told reporters in the Oval Office.
While responding to a question, Trump said, “He (Prime Minister Narendra Modi) is a friend of mine. He’s a great gentleman.”
Trump also said that during the telephonic conversation with PM Modi, the latter told him that millions of people would welcome him from the airport to the cricket stadium.
During the visit India will sign a $2.6 billion deal to purchase military helicopters from US based company Lockheed Martin.
