Kabul: A day after Taliban and the US signed a peace deal, the Islamic insurgents have called to resume military offensive against the government in Kabul. This ends the partial truce between Taliban forces and the Afghan security forces prior to the signing of the peace deal.
The Taliban has also made it clear that it would not attack foreign troops in the country as per the peace deal.
Taliban spokesperson, Zabihullah Mujahid, said, “The reduction in violence… has ended now and our operations will continue as normal.”
He added, “As per the (US-Taliban) agreement, our mujahiddin will not attack foreign forces but our operations will continue against the Kabul administration forces.”
