Washington DC: US Secretary of State MichaelPompeo on Friday extended condolences to India over the loss of lives of soldiers in the violent clash with China at the Galwan valley are in eastern Ladakh.
“We extend our deepest condolences to the people of India for the lives lost as a result of the recent confrontation with China. We will remember the soldiers’ families, loved ones, and communities as they grieve,” Pompeo tweeted.

As of Thursday, Indian Army sources have confirmed that 18 soldiers are currently at the Indian Army’s hospital in Leh and will get back to work within 15 days. 58 soldiers are at other hospitals and will be back on duty within a week.
