New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday expressed his shock and disagreement on the US Capitol violence. The Prime Minister took it down to Twitter to express his disagreement in the way how things are happening in the Washington and said that the transfer of power must be peaceful and orderly.
“Distressed to see news about rioting and violence in Washington DC. Orderly and peaceful transfer of power must continue. The democratic process cannot be allowed to be subverted through unlawful protests”, tweeted Modi.
As per the reports by CNN, four people including a woman, died on the US Capitol grounds Wednesday and 52 people have been arrested, after trump supporters breached one of the most secured American building in an attempt to overturn the US Presidential Election results.
Earlier on Wednesday, Social media giants Twitter and Facebook had locked Trump’s accounts for 12 hours citing the violations of their community guidelines.
