Washington [US]: After Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube, Snapchat has decided to ban President Donald Trump permanently following the US Capitol violence by Trump supporters.
“Last week we announced an indefinite suspension of President Trump’s Snapchat account, and have been assessing what long term action is in the best interest of our Snapchat community”, quoted CNN a Snapchat spokesperson as saying.
The action is in the interest of public safety and based on the President’s attempts to spread misinformation, hate speech and incite violence, informed Snapchat on the decision to ban Trump.
Earlier this week, Social Media giants like Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and video sharing app YouTube had banned the President quoting the same reasons.
