Ballon d’Or: Luka Modric and Ada Hegerberg win awards

Paris: Luka Modric is honoured with Ballon d’Or award after winning FIFA world cup footballer award. Luka is selected from the list of 30 by sports journalists among the world. Modric received the award in the glittering ceremony in Paris last evening.

For last ten years, Christiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi were dominating the award. Both bagged the award for five times each.Modric got 753 points and Ronaldo, 476 points. In the third position, Antoine Groezmann got 414 points.

Norway’s Ada Hegerberg received the first ever women’s award. Ada, the twenty three year old player has numerous success stories with Olympique Lyonnais Feminin, Division 1 Feminine,Coupe de France and UEFA Women’s Champions League.
