Manila: Three people were killed in a shooting held at the University of Philippines in Manila. As per primary reports, the former mayor of the southern region in Basilan, Executive assistant and security officer were the three people who were killed in the attack. The mayor Joy Belmonte has given the details of the attack.
The authorities say that the attack was planned and one person was injured.
The incident took place near the gate of the Ateneo de Manila University in suburban Quezon City. And police arrested the culprit wearing two pistols.
Following the incident the university was closed and the convocation ceremony was cancelled. The Supreme Court chief justice Alexander Gesmundo informed that he has postponed the trip due to the attack. Police clarified that the children who were supposed to attend the function were also injured in the attack.
