Taipei: A US government plane possibly transporting House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has entered airspace claimed by Taiwan and begun its descent from cruising altitude, Flightradar 24 said on Tuesday.
The flight radar’s data shows the plane approaching Taiwan from the southeast, with reported intentions to land in Taipei. The plane after entering the vicinity of the island began to descend from its 35,000 foot cruising altitude, the radar service said.
The Chinese government has repeatedly warned against the trip and promised firm action in response to any trip to Taiwan by a senior US government official.
