Islamabad: State Bank of Pakistan admitted that their economy has drowned in debt. They confirmed this news in the latest report. The total debt of the nation is sixty trillion Pakistan rupees (around 2, 22, 25,27,15,50,000 rupees). Figures say that 11.9 trillion rupees of debt has been increased within one year.
As per the report of the State Bank of Pakistan, while comparing with last year, the total debt of the nation has risen 25 percent and reached 59.7 trillion Pakistan rupees.
During 2018, on the basis of the financial system, the total debt of the nation was 76.4 percent. In 2022 it reached 89.2 percent. The former PM Imran Khan had sworn in by giving assurance that he will find ways to bring down the nation’s debts. But, when he resigned in April 2022, 19.5 trillion rupees was again added in debt.
