New Delhi: PM Narendra Modi and the President of France have discussed the bilateral initiatives between India and France. They also discussed the wild fire that took place in France recently and Modi assured India’s support over that.
They discussed the cooperative schemes in the defence and the field of civil nuclear energy. The leaders also clarified that they will join together in the new initiatives.
“Spoke to my friend president @EmmanuelMacron today. Conveyed India’s solidarity with France in dealing with the devastating wildfires. We discussed ongoing bilateral cooperation under the India-France Strategic Partnership, and other issues of global and regional significance”, PM tweeted.
The PM said that he got deeply touched by Macron’s Independence Day wishes. In a reply, Modi said that India is honouring the close relationship with France and the bilateral relationship would be helpful for everyone.
The relationship between India and France would definitely continue till my resignation, said Macron when he was re-elected to the President’s position.
