Mexico City: A powerful earthquake struck the southwest coast of Mexico. The incident took place around 2 pm yesterday. An earthquake measuring 7.6 on the Richter scale was recorded. One person died.
The earthquake occurred in the coastal states of Michoacan and Colima in Mexico. All the people have been evacuated as the buildings are in danger of collapsing. One person died at a shopping mall center in Manzanillo. It is reported that no one was injured.
A tsunami warning has been issued for the west coast of Mexico. The US Pacific Tsunami Center warned that waves of up to 3 meters above tide level could hit coastal areas overnight.
