Islamabad: The district administration destroyed the Chubacha Sahib Gurudwara that had been situated in Lahore, the second largest city in the country. The authority said that it the demolition is due to security reasons and also for renovation.
The incident took place last day. The building was on its verge of collapse as it has not yet undergone any maintenance. The Sikh community had approached the authority to consider the situation but it was all in vain.
Last day, the 96 caves of Sri Nankana Sahib Gurudwara were demolished by the authorities. The visitors of the Gurudwara stayed over here. The Chubacha Sahib Gurudwara was demolished soon after this incident.
Only a few days left for the Prakash Poorab, the Sikh religious festival. The associations and believers of the Sikh religion have come up protesting over the incident. This authority has assured that the Chubacha Sahib Gurudwara will be rebuilt soon.
