London: Following days long political turmoil, Rishi Sunak is set to the next PM of London. Rishi will be the third Prime Minister in two months after Boris Johnson and Liz Truss.
Rishi Sunak, a British politician with Indian origin, will be the first Hindu to be sworn in as the PM of Britain.
Rishi Sunak, the former finance minister has been elected as the leader as his rival Penny Morduant failed to bag 100 nominations from her fellow MPs. However, Penny Morduant has extended her full support to Rishi.
Boris Johnson had withdrawn from the election as he was uncertain about the necessary 100 nominations. Now voting will be held within the Conservative Party and if Rishi could secure 100 nominations, that will be marked in the history.
Rishi Sunak is the son-in-law of Narayana Murthy, the founder of Infosys.
