New Delhi: S. Jaishankar, the minister of external affairs of India, said that the nation will accelerate the economic strength of the Chabahar Port region. The union minister said this while talking in a meeting of the foreign ministers organised by the Shanghai cooperation. He said that it is essential for every nation to hold hands together in order to solve the international economic crisis.
It was the 21st meeting of the Shanghai council, the greatest cooperation of Asian region. The foreign ministers of different nations have attended the virtual meeting. All of them opined that the nations should strengthen their trade and economic security.
He specially mentioned the geographical peculiarities of Chabahar port, that is located in Iran. The port can facilitate the development of the North-South Asian region. He also said that all Shanghai regions can make use of the port.
Minister pointed out that the economic sector should become eco-friendly and the ‘mission life’ , a flagship programme by the PM, should also be reflected in the trade sector. He reminded that the year 2023 will be celebrated as the year of crops. For this, all nations should increase their crop production. The nations should have the ability to help each other to overcome the global crisis like poverty and scarcity of food grains.
