Islamabad: Imran Khan has alleged that people including the former Prime Minister of Pakistan are behind the assassination attempt during the rally. Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Party leaders said that Imran Khan suspected three people, including Shahbaz Sharif in the attack. PTI Secretary General Asad Umar stated that Imran Khan said that Home Minister Rana Sanaullah and a senior army officer were involved in the assassination attempt.
The attack on Imran was planned. An automatic gun was used for the attack. At the same time, the opposition leaders including Shahbaz Sharif and the army have strongly condemned the attack on Imran.
The assailant shot the container lorry in which Imran was traveling when it reached Wazirabad in Punjab province. The statement of the assailant is that Imran Khan is misleading the people and that is why he tried to kill him. After the assassination attempt, large-scale protests were held all over Pakistan, including in Karachi and Quetta.
