Now, the world is a planet with a population of 800 crore people. As per the figures of the UN, the world population has now reached 800 crore or 8 billion. The UN General Secretary Antonio Guterres has commented that this is a milestone in world population growth. As per the estimation of the UN, the world population will reach 8.5 billion in 2030, 9.7 billion in 2050 and 10.4 billion in 2080 and it will remain till 2100.
Currently, China is the most populated country with 145.2 crore people. India is in the second position with 141.2 crore. India is expected to overtake China and attain the first position in 2023, says a report released by the UN on 11th July. Followed by China and India, the other countries leading in the population growth are America, Indonesia and Russia.
Statistics say that the death rate is very low due to the availability of advanced medical services. As given in the report, India, Pakistan, Ethiopia, Nigeria, Congo, Philippines and Tanzania will increase their population rate in the next thirty years. China and India together occupy 37 percent of the world’s population.
