New York: Twitter’s new announcement says the new Twitter policy is freedom of speech and not freedom of reach, pointing out that “hate tweets” will be maximum deboosted. Tweets containing negative content and hateful comments will no longer go viral on Twitter.
Everyone has the freedom to speak on Twitter. But don’t assume that all such tweets will get reach. Hate-negative tweets will be deboosted to the max. Monetization of such tweets will also be stopped. If they are confirmed to be hate tweets, they won’t end up in someone else’s feed.
Musk also stated that plans are underway to reinstall previously suspended Twitter accounts. He added that no decision has been taken yet regarding the suspended Twitter account of Trump (former US President). Previously suspended accounts of Kathy Griffin, Jordan Peterson and Babylon Bee have been reinstalled.
