Kuala Lumpur: Atleast nine people died in a landslide in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It is reported that about 51 people are trapped underground. The landslide occurred in a rural hilly area far away from the city of Kuala Lumpur.
The accident happened in the area where construction work was going on. According to local residents, 79 people were present at the time of the incident. 23 people escaped from the landslide.
Stone, soil and mud fell down from a height of about 30 meters. The tragedy happened at 3.30 am local time. Officials also informed that the rescue operation is going on at a fast pace.
