New York: Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar said that Afghan soil will not be allowed to become a center of terrorism. He expressed concern over Taliban atrocities and emerging terrorist threats in the country. The Foreign Minister made this clear in the UN Security Council meeting.
He said that since the Taliban regime came to power, the threat of terrorist groups has been increasing. The meeting discussed that terrorism remains a serious threat to international peace and security.
He highlighted how India faced cross-border terrorism. He also stated that India fought against it with determination and courage. He added that India was able to fight terrorism because it took even a small attack very seriously. The minister also pointed out that India was able to bring this idea forward as the chairman of the UN Security Council.
