Washington: The United States President, Donald Trump has come out strongly against Pulwama Terror attack saying that it is a “horrible situation”. Speaking to reporters at the Oval Office, the President said that the US government has a comment on it (Pulwama attack)and will issue the statement at the appropriate time.
Speaking to reporters at the Oval Office, the President said, ” I have watched. I have got a lot of reports on it. We will have comment(on it) at an appropriate time.”
In a separate press conference, State Department Deputy Spokesperson, Robert Palladino was more forthcoming and asked Pakistan to fully cooperate with the investigation and to punish those responsible. He added that the US government was in close contact with India to extend their “strong support”.
United States have been supporting India since Pulwama attack. It was the first country to condemn the attack by mentioning Pakistan by name and demanding that they stop encouraging terrorism on its soil.
After the attack, National Security Advisor John Bolton said that India had the right to self-defence. Other top officials of the Trump administration had also followed suit.
