Paris: India is leaving no stones unturned to hurt Pakistan. On a day the Indian Government decided to squeeze river water flow to Pakistan, Indian officials have given new information to the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) against Pakistan.
The move by India is calculated to keep Pakistan on the ‘grey list’ of countries indulged in financing terrorism. That country has been on the list since June which prevents it from accessing international markets.
FATF is an intergovernmental organisation founded to combat money laundering and terrorism financing. Around 800 officials from World Bank, IMF, and other bodies are gathered in Paris for the 6-day gathering.
Pakistan, facing growing debts and on the verge of collapse, has been trying to get off the list since June.
