Wuzhen: After the successful airstrikes on terror camps inside Pakistani airspace, India has begun isolating Pakistan in front of the world. Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj reiterated India’s position of “preemptive action” against terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM).
Indian Foreign Minister shared the country’s position with her counterparts Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov on the sidelines of the 16th Foreign Ministers’ meet of Russia, India and China.
India leveraged her position by pointing out that the preemptive strike was inevitable as credible intelligence was received that JeM was planning further attacks on Indian soil.
She continued that the targets were carefully chosen to avoid any civilian casualties and that no military installations were destroyed in the strikes. The objective was specifically to destroy the infrastructure of JeM and prevent further attacks from them.
Sushma Swaraj also promised that India will continue to act with responsibility and restraint and wished no further escalation of the situation.
She also called upon China and Russia to show zero tolerance to terrorism and take decisive action against it.
