Islamabad: In an explosive revelation, the Pakistani Foreign Minister, Shah Mehmood Qureshi, has claimed that his government has credible intelligence that India is planning to attack the country between April 16 and 20.
He said that Pakistan has informed the ambassadors of the permanent members of the UN Security Council in Islamabad about the plan of Indian aggression two days ago.
In the interview, the Pak Foreign Minister said, “I am saying it with responsibility and I have a responsible position, I know each word I say would make headlines in the international press,” he said, stressing the reliability of his claim. He said the planned aggression was aimed at “increasing diplomatic pressure against Pakistan.”
There is speculation that the Foreign Minister’s outrageous claim is a move to pressurise India among the permanent members of UNSC. However, India has received strong support from all the permanent members barring China.
The relation between India and Pakistan has been strained since the Pulwama attack when Pakistani based terrorist attacked a convoy of CRPF martyring 40 soldiers. India responded with airstrikes that destroyed the biggest terror camp of Jaish-e-Mohammad. Though Pakistan responded with the airstrikes of their own, they could not hit the targets.
