Colombo: Death toll raised to 290 from attacks on churches and luxury hotels across Sri Lanka. Five Indians lost their lives in the blasts, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj confirmed today.
Thirteen people have been arrested by Sri Lankan police and probe is underway. Eight explosions in churches and luxury hotels claimed 290 deaths and around 600 people with injuries. Thirty six among dead are foreigners. From Kerala, P S Raseena, native of Kasarkod Mogral puthur, confirmed dead in the attacks at Shangri-La Hotel in Colombo.The other three Indians killed in the blasts are Lakshmi, Narayan Chandrasekhar and Ramesh.
