TEL AVIV: The Israeli Foreign Ministry stated that the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) would target only Hamas terrorists and would not harm civilians who are not involved in Hamas terrorism activities. Thousands of people in Israel lost their lives, and several were taken hostage by the inhumane, barbaric massacre carried out by Hamas terrorists on Israeli civilians. It has also been reported that not only Israeli civilians but also several students from around the world were attacked in the recent wave of Hamas terrorism.
Following the attack by Hamas terrorists, Israel launched a counter-attack against the Hamas terrorism as a defensive measure for their own country in the Gaza Strip, leading to a massive conflict.
As the war entered its 8th day, Israel, which was deeply affected by the brutal atrocities, has firmly asserted that the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) will not back down until all Hamas terrorists are defeated. However, Israel’s force will only target the terrorists and not civilians.
Deputy spokesperson of the Israeli Foreign Ministry, Yossi Zilberman, spoke to an Indian TV media outlet, stating that every Israeli lost someone they knew in the Hamas attack. He mentioned that Israel’s force had decided not to stop until the last Hamas terrorist is eliminated.
Zilberman emphasized that the safety of civilians is the Israeli government’s top priority. The extermination of Hamas is seen as the only preventive measure. He added, “Hamas has prepared itself for another attack, and there is no room for balance, compromise, or ceasefire here. There are hostages and kidnapped citizens inside Gaza. They have targeted children and the elderly. Our mission is to restore safety and security not only for Israel but for the entire civilized world. Therefore, we call on every country fighting against terrorism to stand beside Israel.”
In response to Israel’s warning to the civilians in Gaza to evacuate, the deputy spokesperson of the Israeli Foreign Ministry stated, “We are a democratic country, and even during times of war, we have rules. We do not wish to harm civilians as the Hamas terrorists have done. We don’t want to engage with people who have no affiliation with Hamas. That’s why we have issued a warning for them to leave. Our aim is solely to destroy the infrastructure of Hamas. It is not a war but our defense against terrorism.”
According to IDF officials, Israel’s strikes are aimed at degrading the capabilities of Hamas terrorism.
