Tel Aviv: According to a report in ‘The Atlantic’, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) screened a 43-minute video to a group of journalists depicting the gruesome and horrific acts of violence that Hamas terrorists unleashed upon innocent Jewish civilians in the October 7 attack. The video contained raw footage recovered from body cams worn by Hamas terrorists who were killed or captured.
The IDF invited journalists to the video screening but did not allow cameras or any other device to record the video of Jews being hunted down and killed mercilessly. The video also contains footage of men, women, and children being tortured, burned and killed.
Hamas terrorists’ cruelty does not rest with barbarity against Jews alone. According to the report, the video contains a gruesome footage of a Thai worker who was shot in the stomach. The terrorists are then seen arguing of what to do next to him. Subsequently one terrorist asks for a knife. However he finds a garden-hoe and repeatedly hacks at the man’s throat.
The report shows much footage of men, women and elderly being shot down mercilessly in their homes. The terrorists are seen hunting down these unarmed civilians to torture and kill them.
The report quoted IDF Major General Mickey Edelstein saying that they showed the footage out of necessity. The IDF officer said that he struggles to understand how some journalist could present IDF and Hamas as comparable. He added that the IDF do not look for kids to kill them.
The report also said that the footage captures one Hamas terrorist calling his parents in Gaza and bragging about his exploits. He tells his father that his son is a ‘hero’ now as he has killed ten Jews with his own hands. He also tells his mother that her son is a hero.
It must be noted that this video screening comes amid anti-Israeli protests across the world condemning the Israel counter attack against Hamas terrorists. Many leftists are even trying to justify the Hamas attack as just a reaction of Jewish occupation.
The IDF’s decision to screen the footage of their own citizens being killed brutally is an attempt to inform the world about the kind of enemy they are fighting.
