New York: The Bharatiya community in New York City came together to celebrate the Prana Pratishtha (consecration) ceremony at the Rama temple in Ayodhya. Lord Sri Ramachandra’s images were displayed in Time Square, and the Bharatiya community in the region came together and sang Sri Ram bhajans.
The Consulate General of Bharat, New York, shared images capturing the spirit of the celebration. The Bharatiya community, attired in traditional clothing, flooded the streets, holding saffron flags with portraits of Shree Ram inscribed on them.
The Indian Embassy in the US, taking to social media platform X, expressed their admiration for the diaspora’s enthusiasm, stating, “Indian Diaspora illuminated Times Square with a spectacular celebration of the Prana Prathistha at Ram Mandir, Ayodhya. Dressed in traditional Indian attire, they passionately chanted bhajans and songs, showcasing India’s cultural heritage, vibrancy, and unity.”
Meanwhile, Mayor Joe Petty of Worcester, Massachusetts, extended warm greetings to the Hindu community, participating in the festivities alongside the US-Bharat community. The mayor also shared the significance of the Prana Pratishtha ceremony at the Ram Temple.
The Prana Prathistha ceremony will be held today in the temple town of Ayodhya amid tight security. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, saints, and numerous distinguished guests will be in attendance.
The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust disclosed that the ‘Prana Pratishtha’ ceremony will feature a musical event titled ‘Mangal Dhwani.’ Scheduled for 12:30 pm, the poojas will be presided over by Pandit Laxmikant Dixit under the supervision of Ganeshwar Shastri Dravid of Kashi. A significant gathering of more than 7,000 individuals is anticipated to participate in this ceremony.
