Washington: The situation in the Middle East is becoming murkier Iraq Parliament votes in favour of removing foreign troops from the country after US airstrike at Baghdad airport killing Iranian top commander. However the US President Donald Trump has said that he would impose sanction on Iraq, which is the US ally in the region, if the country goes ahead with the decision.
US President said, “If they do ask us to leave, we don’t do it in a friendly basis.”
Trump added, “We will charge them sanctions like they’ve never seen before ever. It’ll make Iranian sanctions look somewhat tame…If there’s any hostility, that they do anything we think is inappropriate, we are going to put sanctions on Iraq, very big sanctions on Iraq.”
Donald Trump reminded that the US has an extraordinarily expensive airbase in Iraq which took billions of dollars to build. He said that he would not leave Iraq unless the country pays the billions which was spent to build the airbase.
