Doha: After concluding a two-day visit to the UAE, Prime Minister Narendra Modi embarked on a journey to Doha, Qatar, where he was greeted with enthusiasm by the Indian diaspora. Expressing gratitude for the warm reception, Modi shared moments of interaction with Indians residing in Qatar.
‘An exceptional welcome in Doha! Grateful to the Indian diaspora,’ said the prime minister. He also shared pictures of his meeting and greeting with Indians in Qatar.

This marks Modi’s second visit to Qatar since June 2016.
Upon arrival, he was warmly received by Qatar’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Sultan bin Saad Al Muraikhi. Anticipating productive discussions, Modi conveyed his optimism for bolstering the friendship between India and Qatar during his stay.
‘Landed in Doha. Looking forward to a fruitful Qatar visit which will deepen India-Qatar friendship.’ The Prime Minister wrote on social media, “X.”
During his time in Doha, Prime Minister Modi engaged in diplomatic talks. He met with Qatar’s Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, and participated in a banquet held in his honour.
The Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson, Randhir Jaiswal, highlighted the outcomes of Modi’s meeting with Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani. He noted in “X” that ‘PM @narendramodi held a fruitful meeting with HH @MBA_AlThani_, PM & FM of Qatar in Doha. Discussions covered expanding bilateral cooperation in sectors such as trade & investment, energy, finance among others.’
