Ranchi: Indian opener Rohit Sharma attained an unbeatable maiden Test double century against South Africa on Sunday.
Sharma thus became the 24th Indian to score a double ton and joins an elite list which has Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag and Chris Gayle.
He displayed a spectacular performance smashing 28 fours and 6 sixes in his innings before getting out at 212.
Rohit Sharma also broke the record after registering the maximum sixes in a bilateral Test series.
