Melbourne: At the end of the first day of the Boxing Day Test, India bundles up Australian innings for 195. Australia had won the toss and chose to bat first. India is at 36/1 at the end of Day 1.
Marnus Labuschagne 48(132) became the top scorer for Australia whereas, Jasprit Bumra took 4 wickets for the Indian team.
The visitors were led by Ajinkya Rahane in the absence of Skipper Virat Kohli who returned back to India after the first test. Ravindra Jadeja found his place back in the XI after recovering from his injury. Other changes in the Indian Team includes, Shubman Gill who replaced Prithvi Shaw in the opening and Mohammed Siraj was brought in instead of Mohammed Shami who got ruled out of the Test series after suffering a fracture in the right arm during the first Test match against Australia.
