Brisbane [Australia]: Aussies opener Will Pucovski has been ruled out of the Bribane test, confirms Australian Skipper Tim Paine. Marcus Harris will bat in the opening replacing Pucovski in the fourth and final Test at Gabba.
“Will Pucovski won’t play tomorrow, he tried to train this morning, did not quite come up. He will have a bit of work to do, he is obviously missing this Test and Marcus Harris will replace him. Pucovski literally had a fitness Test and did not get up, so there would be discussions regarding his fitness. Marcus Harris will open the batting and we are looking forward to seeing what he does”, said Paine on Thursday.
Ahead of the Gabba Test, the opener did not show up in the nets for practice as he suffered a shoulder injury during the last Test match against India at the SCG.
The Brisbane Test will go live from January 15. The four match Test between India and Australia is currently tied at 1-1.
