Ravichandran Ashwin scored a fantastic century at his home turf Chepauk against England on day 3 in the 2nd Test match. It was Ashwin’s fifth Test hundred.
Ishant Sharma scored seven runs and was out when India’s score was 237. Virat Kohli scored 62 out off 149 balls.
Resuming Day 3 from 54/1, India got off to a bad start when it lost both Rohit Sharma and Cheteshwar Pujara in the first 15 minutes. Ashwin and Mohammed Siraj took the score to 286 and the lead was extended to 481. England will be hoping for a miracle on Day 4, having lost three wickets already.
