Visakhapatnam: Bharat’s spin trio rose to James Anderson’s challenge, securing victory in the Test match against England by 106 runs. Setting a target of 399 runs, Bharat bowled out England for 292 runs, resulting in a series tie. Anderson’s challenge was to chase Bharat’s target within 70 overs, but Bharat successfully ended England’s innings in 69.2 overs. The third Test match is scheduled to commence on the 15th in Rajkot.

Ashwin and Bumrah continued their excellent form, each claiming three wickets, while Mukesh Kumar, Axar, and Kuldeep contributed with one wicket each. Zach Crowley emerged as England’s top scorer with 76 runs. Despite a strong start, England’s middle and last line up batmen failed to score for their country.

On the fourth day of the second Test, England started chasing at 67 runs with one wicket loss. They adopted an ODI- batting style approach but faced challenges from Bharat’s spinners. The dismissals included Rahane Ahmed (23), Ollie Pope (23), Joe Root (16), Jonny Bairstow (26), Ben Stokes (11), Ben Fox (36), Shoaib Basheer (0), and Tom Hartley (36).

Shubman Gill’s century and Jaiswal’s double century also contributed to Bharat’s victory, laying a solid foundation for the team’s success in Visakhapatnam.
