New Delhi: Finance Minister Nirmala Sitaraman lauded the Indian Cricket Team for their historic win at Australia during her budget speech. She said that the huge win after a major setback in the series was spectacular and reminded the nation of the qualities that we as people should poses.
“I cannot help but recall the joy that we as a cricket-loving nation felt after Team India’s recent spectacular success in Australia. It has reminded us of all the qualities that we as people, particularly our youth, epitomise of having abundant promise and the unsuppressed thirst to perform and to succeed”, said the Finance Minister.
Indian Cricket Team on Jan 19 breached Australia’s Fortress- The Gabba- by winning the final match of the Test series and the Border Gavaskar Trophy with a lead of 2-1.
