Mumbai: Keralite player Sajeevan Sajana has secured a spot in the Mumbai Indians squad in the Women’s IPL (WPL). The Wayanad native was acquired by the Mumbai Indians for an impressive sum of Rs 15 lakh in the player auction, marking her entry into the league as the second player from Wayanad, Kerala.
Sajana, an all-rounder with a base price of Rs 10 lakh, hails from Mananthavadi, Wayanad. She has previously showcased her leadership skills by captaining the Kerala team in the Under-23 National Championship and the South Zone team in the Inter-Zone T20 Cricket Tournament. Under Sajana’s captaincy, the Kerala Under-23 team secured their first-ever title. The talented cricketer is the daughter of P. Sajeevan and Sharada Sajeevan.
