Thiruvananthapuram: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted rain with thunderstorms at isolated places in Kerala in Alappuzha, Ernakulam, Thrissur and Kannur districts. The IMD has also warned that there is a possibility of strong wind with a speed of up to 40 kilometer per hour(kmph).
Squally weather with wind speed reaching 40 to 45 gusting to 55 kmph is likely to prevail over Kerala- Lakshadweep coast from 26th to 28th of this month. IMD also forecasted that there is a possibility of rain with thunder and lightning , and strong wind with a speed of 30 to 40 kmph till May 29.
Gusty winds of 40 to 45 gusting to 55 kmph is likely to blow over Tamil Nadu coast, Gulf of Mannar, Kanyakumari coast and in south-west Bay of Bengal regions near the Sri Lankan coast in the coming days. So the locals are advised not to venture out for fishing during these days.
