A total of 3,81,305 beneficiaries have so far been vaccinated for COVID-19 and 580 adverse events following immunisation were reported in the country till now, the Union health ministry said.
Cumulative 580 adverse events following immunisation (AEFIs) and seven hospitalisations have so far been reported in the country since the nationwide COVID inoculation drive began on January 16.
Of the two deaths reported, the death of the 52-year-old man from Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh is not related to vaccination as per the post mortem report. The death was caused due to cardiopulmonary disease. The second death was of a 43-year-old man, a resident of Bellary, Karnataka. He was vaccinated on January 16 and died on Monday. The cause of the death is anterior wall infarction with cardiopulmonary failure.
The health ministry has said each vaccination session will cater to a maximum of 100 beneficiaries per day.
