Thiruvananthapuram: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) predicts chances for heavy rain today and issued yellow alert to 12 districts excluding Thiruvananthapuram and Kollam.
The authority issued alert messages to people and informed them that the heavy rain is expected to continue for the next four days. Due to this, a yellow alert has been issued for the coming days.
IMD informed that the intensity of the rain will subside by day after tomorrow and only 5 districts have alert on Sunday and issued yellow alert on Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur and Kasaragod.
The fishermen are advised not to venture into the Kerala – Lakshadweep – Karnataka coast for next 2 days.
