Thiruvananthapuram: Changes in Kerala’s rain forecast. The Meteorological Department has informed chances for isolated heavy rain and wind with a speed of 55 km/hr in all districts. Orange alert has been issued in 4 northern districts due to the heavy rain and 8 districts are on yellow alert.
It is likely to rain in Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur and Kasaragod districts. Yellow alert has been issued in Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Idukki, Thrissur, Palakkad and Malappuram districts.
A low pressure is prevailing over southern Odisha and Andhra Pradesh. Kerala is likely to receive heavy rainfall due to a low pressure trough extending from southern Gujarat coast to northern Kerala coast.
Kerala, Chandigarh, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Maharashtra, Gujarat and Andhra Pradesh will receive heavy rain for the next five days. The fishermen are also advised to stop venturing into the sea till 14-07-2022.
