Thiruvananthapuram: State expected to witness heavy rainfall today. The Indian meteorological department has issued yellow alert in two districts that are likely to receive heavy rain. A warning has also been issued to the fishermen community.
Yellow alert was issued to Wayanad and Kannur districts that will receive 64.5 to 115.5 mm of rain within twenty four hours. Though there is no high alert message, other districts would also receive moderate rainfall.
The monsoon is restarting after a small break. The IMD has informed that the state would receive rainfall till Monday and issued yellow alerts in many districts.
The Kerala coasts have chances to receive strong wind. In this background, IMD has given alert message to the fishermen community too.
