Thiruvananthapuram: State likely to receive intensive rainfall again and issued Red alert in Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Idukki, Thrissur, Palakkad and Kannur districts.
The central Kerala districts have been continuously receiving heavy rainfall from today morning.
Orange alert has been issued in Kollam, Malappuram, Wayanad and Kasaragod districts and Yellow alert in Thiruvananthapuram.
According to the IMD, there is a chance for heavy rain in eight districts. It also issued an alert for isolated heavy rain on the hilly regions of Kottayam, Idukki and Ernakulam districts.
During the night, there is a possibility of heavy rain over the hilly areas from the north of Palakkad to its eastern half.
Tomorrow, an Orange alert has been issued in Idukki, Kozhikode, Kannur and Wayanad districts.
