State expecting heavy rainfall from today: Issued yellow alert

Thiruvananthapuram: After a short break, IMD issued alert for heavy rainfall in the state from today. It is expecting isolated rainfall with thunder and issued yellow alert in four districts.

IMD said that there is a chance for heavy rainfall in all districts of Kerala in the next three hours.

Yellow alert in different districts are given below:

22-08-22: Kottayam, Ernakulam, Idukki

23-08-22: Kottayam, Ernakulam, Idukki

24-08-22: Kottayam, Idukki, Thrissur, Malappuram

The fishermen are warned to stop venturing in Kerala-Lakshadweep-Karnataka region from 22 August to 24 August. There are also high chances for a wind with a speed of 40-50 km/hour in Kerala- Lakshadweep-Karnataka shores and the south – east region of the Arabian Sea too.
