Thiruvananthapuram: Isolated heavy rain is likely in the state today. Yellow alert has been issued for Pathanamthitta, Ernakulam, Idukki, Kottayam, Malappuram and Wayanad districts.
Caution should be exercised in hilly areas that have received rain on the last day. It is predicted that there will be rain in the afternoon. Rain is likely to continue according to the intensity of the westerly winds. Yellow alert has been announced in 11 districts tomorrow and nine districts on 7th.
Due to the heavy rain a flash flood occurred at Palode Mankayam in Thiruvananthapuram yesterday. The accident took place when a group of 10 people came for sightseeing. Six of the eight people were rescued.
